Lakefield water, sewer rates going up next January

Users of the Lakefield water and sewer systems will be paying more for the services starting in January.
The monthly flat rate for sewer service will increase 15.1 per cent to $45.45 per month, while the flat rate for water will increase 3.6 per cent to $50.75 per month.
According to a report presented to Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield Township Council’s July 15 meeting, water and sewer reserves will total $1,401,881 by the end of this year.
