Annual Street Dance August 9

Area residents can hip, hop, away Saturday, August 9 as the Bridgenorth Beautification Committee holds its 12th Annual Street Dance and BBQ.

There will be a silent auction which includes wonderful items such as patio furniture (Rova), kayak (Paluski Boats), patio heater (Home Hardware). There will be two separate closing times:9:15 and 10:15 p.m.

There’s a raffle for a hot tub for a week, setup and take down included donated by Roto Spa. The draw will be held at 10:30 p.m., and the ever popular 50/50 draw.

For the children there’s a Children’s Meal, face painting, crazy hair, bouncy castle (compliments of Bruce Maly Plumbing) as well as their own dance floor and music.

For the adults the bar and BBQ opens at 5 p.m. with live music by Blue Mood and General Delivery from 7:00 to midnight.

Demonstrations by BEL Boxing (6:15 - 6:45) and Woodchuk Charlie will be featured.

It all happens at Dutch Marine in Bridgenorth. Bring your own chair to be sure you have a seat.

Doors open 5 p.m., adults $5 (18 and older), $3 for 12 to 17. Children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult.

Early bird tickets available in Bridgenorth Guardian Drugs, Village Wine Shoppe, Paulmac’s Pet Store, Hellwinkie’s, and in Lakefield at Happenstance Books & Yarns and Griffins Greenhouses.
