School year calendar for 2010-11 established

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board established the 2010-2011 School Calendar at a meeting last week.

Highlights of the approved calendar include:

• first day of classes – Tuesday, September 7, 2010;

• last day of classes – Wednesday, June 29, 2011;

• Winter Break – Wednesday, December 23, 2010 through Thursday, January 6, 2011;

• March Break – March 14, 2011 to March 18, 2011.

“This calendar, and its holiday designations, is consistent with planning by our partner Board, the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board. This is important planning for us because of our shared transportation system,” says Diane Lloyd, Chairperson of the Board.
