Community Care plans walkathon fundraiser
by Anita Locke
Community Care, Lakefield office, reminds everyone that “Spring is right around the corner”.
The organization is busy planning its third annual Community Care Walk-a-thon to be held on Saturday, May 8.
Pledge forms are now available for the walk, which will begin at the Lakefield Legion, walk along the river to Lock 25 and return to the Legion where walkers will enjoy a BBQ and entertainment.
The fundraiser will allow Community Care “to continue to empower Lakefield and area seniors and adults with physical challenges to live in their own homes,” says Lorri Rork, Community Development Coordinator.
For more information about the walk-a-thon or to receive pledge sheets contact Lakefield Community Care at (705) 652-8655.

Those would include a single person (income up to $25,000), couples (up to $35,000), one adult and one child (up to $30,000), two adults and one child (up to $40,000; each additional dependent add $2,000).
Community Care offices will be accepting income tax returns from now until April 28.
