BBC Street Dance and Festival August 14

Ready for a great evening of summertime music, fun and food?

The Bridgenorth Beautification Committee (BBC)’s 14th Annual Street Dance and Festival happens Saturday, August 14, from 5:00 to midnight at Kooperberg’s Dutch Marine, 1110 East Communication Rd., Bridgenorth.

Boat docking is available at the marina. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for youth 13 to 17 years. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge (accompanied by an adult).

Funds raised by the Street Dance support the Committee’s ongoing volunteer work developing and maintaining BBC gardens and streetscapes along Ward St.

Raffle tickets in support of the Festival are already on sale, for super prizes from Bridgenorth Home Hardware in Bridgenorth (BBQ and accessories) and ROVA Enterprises in Peterborough (two Relax adjustable arm chairs and two glass-top side tables).

Pick up your raffle tickets in Bridgenorth at Bridgenorth Home Hardware, Garden Style, Hellwinkies Ladies Fashions and Gifts, Paulmac’s Pet Food and The Village Wine Shoppe; in Lakefield at Griffin’s Greenhouses and Happenstance Books and Yarns; and in Peterborough at ROVA Enterprises on Chemong Rd. Music for this year’s Street Dance is by The Stickmen, with vocalist Sarah Edwards. Get set for talent demonstrations, and the chance to see a creation by The Ice People (Charlie Andolsek and Friends).
