Jetty Rd. playing Young’s Pt., Havelock

Australian country music sensation Jetty Road will be performing at the Havelock Jamboree on Thursday, August 19.
Music lovers can also enjoy a preview of their music at Lockside Trading Company’s Concert Series (Young’s Point) this Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission to Lockside’s concert series is free.
The band is comprised of twin sisters Lee and Paula Bowman, Julian Sammut and Simon Ross. They’ve been touted as “Australia’s hottest country band.”
Jetty Road’s newest single, Let It Out is taking Canadian radio stations by storm. In its third week of release, Let It Out is already being played by 32 country music stations coast-to-coast and is moving up the charts.
Their music has been described as “kind of a cross between The Corrs, Dixie Chicks, and Fleetwood Mac.”
Jetty Road is an enormous international force, having headlined festivals including WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta; the Tamworth Country Music Festival; and Switzerland’s Schwarzee Festival.
The band has just completed a whirlwind European tour that saw them log 14,000 km over six weeks through France, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, and Austria.
Jetty Road won one of Australia’s highest country music accolades, the Golden Guitar Award for Best Group at the 38th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia, in January this year.
They released their debut album Full Circle in 2005 and have since released the follow up album, Dirt Roads City Lights in 2007, and most recently, their multi award winning album, Million Miles in 2009.
The band has performed alongside Alan Jackson, Lonestar, Kenny Chesney, Steve Miller Band, Emerson Drive, Doc Walker, Johnny Reid, Brooks and Dunn and included the band being inducted into the Merritt Walk of Stars.
They performed in Nashville at the prestigious CMA Global Artist Showcase during the annual CMA Music Festival and were the first country music artist to perform at the Hard Rock Café in Paris while on tour throughout France and the United Kingdom.
They also opened for Glen Campbell at Canada’s #1 Country Music Festival, Big Valley Jamboree.
The band will also be performing at the Railway Country and Bluegrass Festival in Cookstown, Ontario, August 27 and 28.
