Event raised $4,813 for Community Care Harvey

Community Care Harvey held a successful fundraiser on August 14. The event was co-organized by Jim Squire and Lee Richardson.

Some young women, dressed as storybook characters, dropped by to publicize the Harvey Library book sale that day; they also sang a few songs.

A special thanks to all the donors, volunteers and shoppers who helped raise a total of $4,813 (an increase of $1,200 over last year).

Organizers also extend their appreciation to St. Matthew’s Anglican Church for allowing Community Care Harvey to use their lot.

“With great weather, great organization and a supportive community, Community Care Harvey is truly grateful,” organizers say.
