Apsley woman organizer for moms’ group
by Anita Locke
The Peterborough and Area Moms Group is presenting two Mom2Mom sales in the coming weeks.
The sales will be held on Saturday, September 4 and Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Evinrude Centre, Peterborough.
Admission is $5; under 17 is free.
Karri Hull of Apsley is the network organizer of the Peterborough Moms Group.
The sales feature door prizes, tables of gently used toys, clothing and other childrens’ items at yard sale prices, freebies and other activities.
There will also be vendors offering services that cater to mothers and children, as well as a fun area for the children with crafts, toys and more.
The Peterborough Moms Group, which started in May 2009, is a free social network for mothers across Peterborough County.
The group has over 300 members and several events happening daily.
Karri says, “The network is here to serve moms, not the other way around, so you never have to feel pressured to get involved more.”
A great way for moms to make friends for themselves and their children, it’s a free membership social group which has hosted hundreds of events and offers its members several daily activities to choose from such as outings, playgroups, scrapbooking, discussion and support forums, craft days, moms’ night out, card nights, potluck get-togethers and other activities.
