Lakefield Atom A win Baltimore series

The final playdown game between the Lakefield Atom Chiefs and the Baltimore Ice Dogs was played on Baltimore Ice January 21.

The Chiefs won the first two games and the Ice Dogs won the third and fourth games of the series for a total of four points for each team.

The game found the Chiefs with newly regenerated skills and energy after the recent losses to Baltimore.

With their new found dynamism the Chiefs forced the Ice dogs into the corners with relentless attacks on the forward positions stopping all of but a few of the Ice Dogs scoring opportunities.

With excellent goal tending by Hayden Melburn and the forward onslaughts by Brendan Koch, Alex Pineo, Garrett Vollering, Mathew Percy, Harry Morris, Nicolas Mills, Cameron Julie, Ethan Daynes and Marcus Blair, and combined with dogged defense from James Wootten, Adam Cartmel, Ryan Mcllwain, and Mark Nicolson, the Chiefs came out with a 3-0 win.

As of this date there has not been a schedule released for further playdowns, however I understand that perhaps they are in the works therefore check with your management or coaches for further info.
