8th Annual Polar Bear Ice Sculpture competition
The Lakefield Village Merchants are proud to once again be sponsoring the PolarFest Polar Bear Ice Sculpture Competition.
The event will take place on February 4 in Cenotaph Park in Lakefield between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Ice sculptors from far and wide will be coming to create ice sculptures in this year’s Mardi Gras theme.
The Junior Chippers area will be open again for children of all ages to come and try ice sculpting for themselves.
Children are invited to enter the competition which will be judged by the professional sculptors at the end of the day. This year there will be an additional children’s area for those who just want to have fun with the ice.
Organizer, Jennie MacKenzie, would also like to welcome caterer, Martin Carbajal of La Mesita Catering, who will be serving delicious food in the park.
We’re looking forward to a fun family day for everyone.
