Golden Years Club hears about Quilts for Cancer

by Ruth Salter

Our Golden Years members were treated to another delicious potluck luncheon at the first meeting of the new year and under the direction of our new executive. Before the business meeting commenced we heard from two very knowledgeable people, Brenda and Bob Willoughby, explaining to us about “Quilts for Cancer.” These two people, along with many volunteers make hundreds of quilts for cancer patients. Their mission is to make and deliver quilts to cancer patients in this community.

The quilts are donated free of charge to those in need. There were several beautiful, soft, arm quilts on display and if you know of someone needing one, please call 705-875-5596. Thank you Brenda and Bob.
