Tournament sponsored by Timber Mart
The CBC broadcast of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada is being held at the Under the Locks Hockey Tournament in Peterborough on February 9. Over 15,000 people are expected to attend the games and celebration.
Ron MacLean, as well as many other CBC personalities, will be broadcasting from the Trent Severn Waterways at the base of Parks Canada’s National Historic Site Lock 21, the world’s largest hydraulic lift lock.
The television broadcast will begin at noon with feeds throughout the day from the canal until 6:00 p.m.
The CBC will pick up the broadcast from the Peterborough Memorial Centre again after the national news. Coach’s corner, the Chevy i-Desk and the Hot Stove Lounge will all be broadcast live from the Peterborough Pete’s game.
Timber Mart is proud to be the building supply sponsor for the Tournament. Kingdon Timber Mart, located in Peterborough and Lakefield, is the local Timber Mart that works with the Under the Locks Hockey Tournament to host over 60 minor hockey teams involving over 1,000 children.
Kingdon Timber Mart is proud to be involved with an organization that provides so much enjoyment for so many young hockey players.
Timber Mart, with the support of its corporate sponsors, Roxul, LePage, CGC and Regal Ideas, is a major sponsor of World Junior Hockey. Like Kingdon Timber Mart, Timber Marts across Canada invest in the lives of young hockey players on a local level.
