Ennismore girls win East Division defeating Napanee in three games
The Delray Granite Ennismore Girls Bantam B Eagles won the East Division of the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League in a shoot out win over Napanee.
After already qualifying for OWHA provincial championships in April in Ottawa, the girls had one more round of playoffs to win.
The Eagles won game one vs Napanee 3-1 March 9 with goals from Robyn Barker, Logan Longfield and Hannah Robinson all unassisted.
Game 2 in Napanee March 16 saw the girls with a short bench lose 2-0.
In Game 3, March 17 in Ennismore, the luck of the Irish was with the team but the score after three periods was 1-1, The lone Eagles goal came from Kate Willis.
The game went into five minute overtime, then to a shoot out.
Kate Willis scored first and Paige Woodley stopped all three Napanee shooters for the win.
The girls travel to Mississauga this weekend for the LLFHL championship.
