Square dancing at the Pavillion
Otonabee Squares will be hosting an introduction to modern square dancing on Sunday, September 8, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. at the Isabel Morris Park Pavillion.
Share the fun the members enjoy every Monday night at the George Street United Church hall in Peterborough.
Square dancing today is not what you did at school. Old time dancing is still available in the area, but at Otonabee you will learn modern square dancing.
Square dancing is not only fun but good for your health! It has the benefit of exercise, mental stimulation, social interaction, and all the physical and emotional benefits that laughing and moving to music have to offer.
Otonabee Squares welcome singles, couples, families and people of all ages. If you can walk, you can dance!
Entering itís fifth year since start-up, there are now eight squares dancing every Monday night. The caller, Wayne Whatman, calls and sings and does a great job of entertaining all the dancers.
So come to the Pavillion on Sunday, September 8 and see what it is all about or come Monday, September 9 to George Street United church for the Open House session. 7-9:30 p.m..
