Former PGA Tour star, Dudley Hart to play at the Wildfire Invitational
Former PGA TOUR star Dudley Hart has been given a sponsor’s exemption to play in The Wildfire Invitational presented by PC Financial, a PGA TOUR Canada tournament.
The event, being played August 29 to September 1 at Wildfire Golf Club will pair 128 professionals with 64 amateurs in a unique Pro-Am format.
Dudley Hart is a longtime member of the PGA TOUR and has received an exemption to return to PGA TOUR Canada with eyes on resuming his competitive career.
Hart won the 1996 Bell Canadian Open, 1998 Sarazen World open, 2000 Honda Classic and the 2002 CVC Charity Classic.
Hart’s last full season on the PGA TOUR, due to back issues, was in 2008
and included six top-10
finishes in 21 starts earning him Comeback Player of the Year after a family medical exemption in 2007.
Hart had three top-15 finishes in the FedEx Cup Playoffs including a T2 at the BMW Championship and T10 at the TOUR Championship.
“Adding Dudley Hart to the field puts an exclamation point on what will be a highly competitive field at The Wildfire Invitational,” said PGA TOUR Canada President, Jeff Monday.
“The field of 128 professionals already had a tremendous talent level and adding Dudley to the mix is a great addition to what should be an excellent event.”
