Christ Church Community Museum volunteers celebrate a successful season at the McMullen farm
Many of the volunteer guides from Christ Church Community Museum gathered at Glen and Gwen McMullen’s farm in Warsaw last week to celebrate the end of another successful season.
It was indeed a festive and fun occasion as they enjoyed a potluck meal, welcomed new guides and shared experiences from the 2013 season. New guides welcomed were Teresa Gall, Joe Latour, Patty Latour and Sandy McCracken.
Volunteer guides work on their own each day to keep the church/museum open for visitors from July 1 to Labour Day from 1.00 p.m. until 4.00 p.m.
During the hot weather in July it was agreed that it was quieter than usual at the museum but when the cooler weather returned so did the visitors. Shirley Twist, CCCM’s volunteer coordinator reported a successful season.
Garnet Graham gave a report on the new vestry. The project has proceeded smoothly with just finishing touches to be completed.
The CCCM Committee thanks all the volunteer guides and the community for its support of Christ Church Community Museum.
Watch for details of the Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 24 at 4.00 p.m.
