Ennismore CC asks for $44,000 more
Adrian Timmermans, representing the Ennismore Community Centre Renovation Project Committee, asked Selwyn council for a $44,000 contribution at Tuesday’s council meeting.
The Township has spent $2.6 million on the project in the last few years, and councillors did not appear to be enthusiastic in response to the request.
Timmermans said the money would represent the $25,000 building permit fee, and $19,000 charged for sand from a Township pit.
After some debate, council resolved to ask Financial Services Manager Lane Vance to prepare a report for consideration at a future council meeting.
