Cyclist assaulted near Apsley on Saturday
Officers from the Peterborough County OPP were called to attend County Road 504 to investigate the report of a cyclist assaulted by a motorist on Saturday, October 19 at 12:30 p.m.
Officers attending the scene were advised that several cyclists had been travelling on County Road 504, when a male in a pick-up truck passed the cyclists and stopped his vehicle.
The driver then exited his truck and began to berate the cyclists, for travelling on the highway. The driver then assaulted the lead cyclist then entered his vehicle and drove away.
The cyclist received minor injuries, not requiring medical attention.
The suspect is described as a white male operating a white Dodge pick-up truck.
