Chiefs keep winning

The Lakefield Fitzsimmons Towing and Repair Chiefs beat the Clarington Eagles 7-1 Tuesday evening in Lakefield, taking the second game in a row from the second place Eagles.

Leading the way was Travis Brault with a hat trick and one assist. Jordan Walsh picked up two goals and an assist, Nathan Larson had a goal and two helpers and Ryan Saunders rounded out the scoring.

Eric Oosting chipped in with three assists, Derick Manley had two, Keenan Runnalls and Jessie Gregory one each.

Zac Wainman picked up the win in net. These two teams go right back at it Thursday in Clarington.

This Saturday, February 1 the Chiefs will hold a safeTALK presentation (suicide awareness for everyone) and still have some spots left.

The Lakefield Chiefs, in partnership with Team 55 and the Lakefield Lions Club, announced in early January a new program called safeTALK.

The event is open to the

public and will be held at the Lakefield District Community Centre.
