Chiefs take first game in final series

The Fitzsimmons Towing and Repair Chiefs took the first game in the best of seven Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League final defeating the Uxbridge Bruins 5-1 at home.
The Chiefs came out hard taking a 2-0 lead after the first on goals by Sean Mackie and Nathan Larson.
The teams traded second period goals. Scoring his second of the game was Larson then the Chiefs got two in the third from William Sullivan and Mackie netting his second of the game.
Assists went to Eric Oosting with three, Travis Brault and Connor Blair with two each, Eric Shewell, Ryan Saunders and Bryce Sweeting chipping in with one each.
Zac Wainman got the win in net. The Chiefs will travel to Uxbridge for game two on Friday night at 7:45 p.m.
