Fibre Arts show in Peterborough

Peterborough Handweavers and Spinners Guild and the Kniterary Society present the Fourth Annual Fibre Arts Festival Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fibre artists and vendors from Peterborough County will be gathering in the lower level of the Peterborough Public Library at 345 Aylmer Street.

Open to the public, admission is only $2 (which includes entry for door prizes), and children under 10 are free.

Demonstrations and displays will be presented by local guilds and fibre artists, including basketry, bobbin lace, caning, cording, crocheting, embroidery, felting, fibre recycling, knitting, millinery, paper making, quilting, rug hooking, silk painting, spinning, tatting, weaving, and much more.

Many local vendors will also showcase their wool, roving, yarns, and other one-of-a-kind products.

There will also be a workshop on Computer Apps and Program, which will run on a space-limited basis in the library boardroom. Advance registration is required for the workshop by Friday, March 28, email monicavereana@sympatico.ca.
