Cammie Jaquays seeks Liberal nomination in Peterborough Riding
Cammie Jaquays is seeking nomination as a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada, Peterborough Riding.
The Liberal open nomination process ensures that local Liberals, in every riding, get to choose who they want to represent them in the next election.
Cammie is a business woman, an entrepreneur, a strategic marketing consultant, a Trent University Lecturer and directs Trent’s Business Internship Program, guiding students as they begin their professional careers in the Peterborough community.
Cammie’s key focus is entrepreneurship, supporting and guiding start-up businesses with communications, marketing and strategic design guidance.
Cammie has chaired the communication campaigns for the past two provincial and federal political campaigns, volunteers in the community and is honoured to have recently been appointed to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit Board of Health.
“This is a great opportunity to listen and be Peterborough’s voice, right now,” says Cammie. “Peterborough has been underrepresented for the past eight years, and it is time to build a better Peterborough, with an MP that represents all voters. It would be an honour to represent all residents of the Peterborough Riding.
“I have the business acumen and entrepreneurial experience to understand Peterborough’s business community and infrastructure needs. My strong social conscience is represented by my community volunteerism and involvement.
“Peterborough needs attention, to be placed back on the map to strengthen the excellent base of resources it currently holds and to increase the profile of Peterborough in Ottawa, and create the community that our kids want to live in.
“I want to be the voice for all Peterborough Riding residents – to listen, to be part of the Liberal team in 2015, to bring together the people and programs necessary to grow the local economy, to stimulate jobs for youth, to enable better living for seniors, to make a difference and add value to our community – and to our country,” says Cammie.
