Emergency Preparedness Week 2014

May 4 - 10 has been declared Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week in the Township of Selwyn.

The 2014 EP Week theme across Ontario is promoting resiliency in diverse groups which includes people with disabilities and special needs, seniors and pets.

Using the slogan “I am ready. We are ready.” Community Emergency Management Coordinators (CEMCs) across the province will be promoting personal and community preparedness.

The County/City of Peterborough Community Emergency Management Coordinators Association has placed mobile signs around the County and City encouraging people to visit the Province’s preparedness site and prepare or update their personal emergency plan.

Has your family prepared an emergency plan? Packed a 72-hour kit? Prepared for spring flooding? Tweet about it using #ONready #iamready #weareready #EPweek2014.
