Jeff Leal sworn in as Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs
Jeff Leal was officially sworn in to the Executive Council of Ontario as Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
For the past 14 months Jeff served as Minister of Rural Affairs for Ontario. In this role he travelled the Province meeting with rural municipal leaders, organizations and residents, bringing the concerns of rural Ontario to Queen’s Park.
While serving his constituents in Peterborough riding remains his top priority, Jeff looks forward to continuing the progress made in rural Ontario as he becomes Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has always been a top priority for Jeff in the province, but specifically locally in the Peterborough riding.
Jeff looks forward to rolling up his sleeves and continuing to strengthen Ontario’s agri-food sector and rural communities.
Leal said “It is a great honour to be called to the Executive Council to serve in Cabinet for the Province of Ontario. I want to thank Premier Kathleen Wynne for appointing me as Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. While serving my constituents in Peterborough riding will always be my number one priority, I look forward to working with the agri-food sector and rural communities across the province.”
