Your local community centre is looking for your sponsorship
People within the community come together every Sunday afternoon to participate in the Selwyn Public Skating Program at the Ennismore Community Centre and the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre at a cost of $2 per person. The Township is looking for local businesses or organizations to sponsor this activity so more people can take part.
Sponsors will have their name featured on the advertising board at the arena, a post on the Township Facebook page and a tweet through the Township twitter account. You will also have your business on the Township website as well a thank you to all the sponsors which will stay on the website for up to a year. This will create an incredible amount of exposure for your organization.
Cost and Benefits
Your business can pick the Sunday you would like to sponsor, or, the Township can book it for you. This is a program that your business can sign up for annually. Once signed up you will be invoiced until you contact the Township Office to cancel. The cost is $200.00 plus HST per skate session. Remember you are helping promote youth recreation in your community and your business will receive:
•A publication on the Township website
• A publication in the Lakefield Herald
• A poster at the arena
• A post on the Township Facebook page and the Selwyn Twitter Account
• Thank you on the website to your business that will stay up for a year
• Thank you in our Recreation Guide that is printed annually
The number of people participating in Public Skating have been decreasing each year. The Township finds that when a business sponsors Public Skating it allows children and families to come out and enjoy a free afternoon of family fun.
By Sponsoring Public Skating your business is getting a generous amount of advertising exposure. You are helping the community come together and enjoy our local Community Centre. This will also increase physical activity in adults and children and help promote youth recreation.
