Lakefield Chiefs have been busy since training camp

The Lakefield Fitzsimmons Towing and Repair Chiefs have been busy since training camp opened preparing for the 2014-2015 Jr. C hockey season evaluating and signing players.
Pictured is Head Coach Don Dunford and General Manager Dennis Anderson signing Ennismore native Nick Julian. Julian who is eighteen years old played last year for the Ennismore Ontario Midget and Juvenile Champions and is expected to play at the centre ice position for the Chiefs. Manager Dennis Anderson is optimistic for the upcoming season “myself and the coaching staff have been pleasantly surprised by the talent at training camp and hope to announce more signings soon,” stated Anderson.
Lakefield will play six exhibition games beginning September 4 in Ennismore at 7 p.m., and will play North Kawartha in Apsley Saturday, September 6 also at 7 p.m., followed the next day in Ennismore at 2:30 against the Clarington Eagles.
The regular season begins Wednesday, September 17 in Clarington while their first home game will be played in Ennismore on Saturday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. before returning to the Lakefield Smith Community Centre on Tuesday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m.
