Lakefield Golden Years Club, 275 Queen St., Lakefield would like you to join their Club! Many activities to keep you interested, connected socially and widen your circle of friends. Activities include crafted cards, bridge (beginner and advanced), carving, shuffleboard, euchre, scrabble and more. Open to adding more activities now that they have more space. General meetings take place once a month at 12:30 with lunch and entertainment. Call Barb Craig at 652-3148 for info and on times and dates.

"Faces and Figures" - Original works of art the main subject of which is the human face or figure, opening at Kawartha Artists' Gallery and Studio on Sun., Mar. 28 running through April 15. Betsy McGregor invites the community to slides by Lieutenant Colonel Karen McCrimmon, first woman ever to command a Canadian Forces Air Force Squadron. Karen will speak on Wed., Mar. 24 at the Lakefield Legion from 10:30 - 11:30 am. No charge, all welcome.

1st Lakefield Sea Scouts is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2011 and is requesting the community's assistance to compile an archival collection to display during its celebrations. Lakefield Caregiver Support Group - last Monday of every month from 1 - 2:30 pm at Lakefield Extendicare at 24 Fraser St. Support groups allow caregivers the opportunity to discuss issues, share coping strategies and to learn more about Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
